Jared saves a trout!

For those of you that pay attention to the weather, it has been fairly warm for our area.  That being said, the creek that flows between our backyard and the Tolt Pipeline Trail has a decreasing water level. Normally there is water in there until the end of July, but since we had a drier June and warmer than usual early July, it will be drier sooner rather than later this year.

That being said, Jared saw a little trout in there for the past few days, but today we captured it, put it in Kristina's watering pail, and took it down to Cottage Creek to let it go.  It was only a matter of time and the little trout would have met his/her maker.  Jared, being the soft heart that he is, couldn't let that happen.  So we transplanted him.  You should have seen that fish take off once it hit Cottage Creek.

Hopefully he/she is swimming to his/her heart's content.

Update:  The water was completely gone behind our house one day later!
