We hit the ground running on Sunday. First thing in the morning, we headed down to Emerald City Trapeze for Maisie's trapeze class. She had taken a trapeze class in Arizona (a long time ago) and she wanted to try it again. So Kristina found a class for her and signed her up. She did quite well as illustrated in the photos.
It is amazing how far she has to lean forward when the bar is in her hand! Look at the guy spotting her. Right before she leaps off the platform, he is pulling her back to keep her up there!
Her goal was to take off and swing forward and on her way back pull her knees up and hang from the bar. Eventually she would do a back flip off the bar an onto the net. She did this probably 9 times or so. She was really getting good!
The all important peanut gallery!
Near the end of the class, she was practicing for a "release" move when another class participant hurt her back -- not from the trapeze, just a nagging injury. That's ok though -- Maisie did a great job.
Next we headed further into Seattle to find some lunch. After Plan A was foiled, and then Plan B was foiled, we finally ended up at Tutta Bella in Westlake. We all downed our pizza and then headed for the "ducks". We were scheduled to "Ride the Ducks" at 1pm.
For those of you that don't know, "Ride the Ducks" is a very touristy thing to do, but we figured since we had guest in town it would be worth it. We had fun and it was very entertaining!
Here we are waiting for our duck!
We were seating in pairs on the "duck". After a bit of juggling, we got settled. It turns out that Da-Da was the fire marshal on the boat and in charge of the fire extinguisher, if needed. Luckily we didn't need it.
Our captain, Marty Graw, did a great job of pointing out the sights and just having a good time overall!

Lucky for us, Seafair was going on and we got to see the Blue Angels as well!
Costume changes were related to the music playing at the time!

After the duck ride, we headed to the Dahlia Bakery for a snack and then home! We were a bit worn out, so Maisie enjoyed the hammock while some of us made dinner.
After dinner, Indy needed her "W", so we went to walk. The blackberries are in full bloom and more and more are ripe each day, so Maisie and Da-Da dubbed the walk, "Cobbler Lane". Most nights we made sure we hit "Cobbler Lane" for a snack!
Rhett and Jared racing up a hill -- guess what, Jared beat Rhett! Too much flat land in Kansas!
We all employ the steady ascent frame of mind!
Stephanie getting into the action as well. Thankfully for us, Stephanie does a great job of doing the photography along with Jared, so sometimes we have to make sure she gets in the photos as well! :)
Indy wasn't sure what we were doing at first, so Kristina picked her some blackberries...well you will see in later pictures that she picked her own after that!
Look at Da-Da feeding Indy blackberries -- what a softie!
