There is no better way to celebrate Easter than to go out for a hike and enjoy nature. That along with the guilt of leaving the dog home yesterday all by herself while we went to a tennis match for Kristina on Bainbridge Island. We had to make it up to Indy today -- plus, we needed to properly celebrate her birthday as well. By the way, Kristina won her match! :)
It was forecasted to be an "okay" day, so we decided to head to the Wallace Falls area. You are never quite sure what to expect when you leave the house to go for a hike! It turned out to be a great day and a great hike! We used the railroad trail, rather than the busy main trail to explore part of the park that we didn't have much familiarity with prior to today. We ended up hiking about 6 miles!
As always, Indy had to take a dip at every opportunity! It didn't matter that she just went to the doggie spa on Friday. Dogs will be dogs! By the way, it was around 60 degrees today and she acted like it was 80!
Some random shots of the trail. There was very pretty scenery and it was quite serene. We didn't even cross paths with anyone until we were hiking back to the trailhead!
Time for another dip -- at least this was clear water!
Here's a good shot of Jared and Indy on a new bridge that had been built on the trail! Aren't they just the cutest pair you ever did see!
More shots of the trail and the surrounding scenery!
Our next trip, we need to hit Wallace Lake and check it out! Maybe there will be good fishing there!
Indy and Kristina posing for a shot against the beautiful backdrop!
And last but not least, the star of the hike -- INDY! What a good dog she is!
