Tye River

Jared took a trip up to the Tye River to do some trout fishing.  He left Indy at home to help keep the fishing holes undisturbed and to concentrate on actual fishing instead of dog watching.  He parked the Juke at the exit point, and then walked up the road quite a ways to where he could get into the river to wade down to the exit point while fishing.

Wading down the stream was fairly easy for the most part, with a few spots that required a bit of maneuvering.  The water was super clear and nice and cold!

There were a few spots that got tricky... the worst being at the end of the trip.  There were some really deep holes that would have either required swimming (not an option) or jumping across rocks and onto a log to cross to the other side.  Jared's pretty good at jumping across rocks, so he chose that option.

Overall the trip was a lot of fun.  He didn't catch any fish, and even started to wonder if there were any fish in the river at all, but he did have one follow his fly and take a swipe at the very last hole he fished!
